Ti84 how to store a value in a variable?

I want to store a result into a variable to use it later, how to do that?

You need to use the button "Sto>".

Example :
Press "2" then "sto>" then "alpha" and finally "Log". You get :

Then do :
2*N and you will have 4.

Magic isn't it :D

You could also store values in a list, or store strings but it's a bit harder.
