Do you really need calculator for this?

-3x + 5 -4x -2

-7x + 3

I imagine it's equal to 0 like this :
-7x +3 = 0

So :

-7x = -3
-x = -3/7
x = 3/7

With you calc you can use solve( token like this :

solve(-3X+5-4X-2,X,0

Then you get .4285714286

You can switch to frac by using >frac or frac Answer (get it from the catalog.

And you get :

3/7

Or you can use equation solver in MATH menu and last entry "Solver".

You will have :

eqn:0=

You type -3X+5-4X-2  like on this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fHKfcR51X8

enjoy !
